Alright, last time out i was having problems keeping running, revving up, and i couldnt keep a constant rpm. i was told therewas supposed to be a check ball in the squirter jets, is that correct?

You might have dirt in the bowl. I like to use a Bosch fuel filter for a Digifont 1988-1992 VW. It has 5/16 inlet and out let for push on hoses. Correct fuel pressure is critical to getting those beasts to work. If the pressure is off anything else you do also is off.
Here are some links with good set up information and diagrams.

No dirt in the bowl. We cleaned it trying to get it to work. Then later i was told to check and see if there was one in there and there wasn't (refferring to the check ball in the squirter jet)

One of the links is an exploded diagram of all the parts to a Weber progressive. I have not used that style carb in many years as it is a royal pain to keep R&Ring it to work on it so i don't remember. With work I have gotten them to run well. Once you get the pump to squirt, start by checking your fuel pressure as if it is out of range all the other adjustments will be off.
