I have always been curious about the size of velosity stacks that are available. Ive got a set of the stock 1.5in and a set of 6in. What are the pros and cons of each because these 6in ones just look sick as hell on my carbs. |

I ran a 2387 on a DTS dyno & it made 20 fp more TQ at 2500 with 6" stacks over the 2" the tall stacks helped with fuel stand off. |

So they will probably make a little more with some air actually running into them while running through the woods, right? |

YES The intake valve opens before the piston reach top dead center so at low rpm when you open the throttle . Compression can go up the intake. In a nut shell that is why we run small cams & puting velosity stacks on make the intake loanger & keep the air going in the cylinder . call i can talk you through it 812-584-7644 |

You just side tracked me with your mention of small cams. In the last month or so, came upon some cam comparisons. Started wondering if Scats C-25 would be to small for a 2276cc with 1:1.25 rockers. If I remember right, it's similar to Engles 110. Don't know wether to start a new thread or not, but would like more info. Thanks Dave W. |

Thanks. So the C-25 probably is on the light side then. I know that there are a lot of variables, but any idea as to what kind of performance it might deliver? |

My 2180 has a 110 cam. Im gonna run 1.25's on it which should give me .490 lift or so. I already have 4" stacks to run inside my 6" filters on my 40's. It should be on the torquey side. If I can fix the valve size issue easily with Turbo2332's heads Ill use the 44's on it if I get em. Either way 4" stacks are a good compromise. Anybody run jet extensions? I always wondered if they help. |
