Ive got a Scat catalog and im looking at the main bearings,it say's Type 1 main journal/standard case and then it has the sizes.below that it say's, .20"/.50mm Oversize case. What does oversize case mean.I had a crank turned .20" and the case lineboard. The machinest told me the rods and the mains were cut down .20",so i ordered the bearings that were under the standard case column, but the front and rear bearing dont fit tight, they move side to side a little and i know that is not right. Is there a difference between Chevy journal and VW journal when ordering main bearings for the case. |

When you get your case line bored you have to run oversize main bearings to take up for the material that was cut away . You also have to make sure the thrust wasnt cut down also |
