Hey guys, im at the end of my 2276/ 6 rib upgrade and i've had a terrible time finding 1/2 inch high pressure oil line for the full flow. Today i found some 1/2 high pressure / high temp hydraulic line with 3/8 pipe ends already attached, the only problem is the 1/2 brass barbed fittings that came with the full flow cover are 3/8 id the hydraulic line is 5/16 but the crimp on fittings are 1/4. Will this cause a problem or is it ok to run, this is all i have left until i can start this thing up and break in the cam. |

I wouldn't restrict the oil line that far IMHO. Doesn't need to be hydraulic line. Napa carries oil hose that is 1/2". You need 3/8" male pipe to 1/2" flare fittings. Then 1/2" flare x 1/2" barbed connectors to hook the hose to those fittings. |

Run some push-loc hoses w/ push-loc fittings from Jegs, best $$$$ spent on oil lines and fuel lines or get some 1/2" 300 psi heavy duty pressure hoses from Napa and use hose barbs with clamps, that was the way I ran it on my old Packrat. |

I checked with the local mine supply today and found some 5000 psi 500 degree hose with 1/2 inch id and all the fittings for $35, got it all hooked up and broke the cam in today readjusted the valves and changed the oil. I cant wait until tomorrow to see how it runs the dual 44's seem to be right on with no dead spot off idle. I havent reved it past 3500 yet but just snaping the throttle with the 110 cam, 1.25 rockers, street eliminator heads and 44 webers gets there quick and sounds awsome. |
