I was told once not to paint a vw engine case due to retaining heat .I have run them both ways but was wondering what you guys think ? |

i painted mine, just spray bomb engine enamel. I just did a light coat. |

I don't think there is any proof to that. I really do not believe it would make much difference in either direction. Paint it if you want to. It should not matter. That's my $.02 |

I heard black disapates heat better than a bright colors,but dont know for sure. |

I hot tank and paint all used cases. No ill effects and they just plain look better that way IMHO.
