Post subject:  straight cut cam gears

whats the benefit? do i have to run them with dry sump setup? just have no idea what they are for.

straight cut teeth creates less drag for increased horsepower. This design reduces thrust load on the cam bearings preventing premature failure....they will also b noisy

I run them, but you do not have to have them to run dry sump, but it is worth it though, it does not matter to me how noisy it is, I can't hear the damn thing anyways when I floor it! :mrgreen:

Just another note on the dry sump Oil pump setup. Make sure you use Button head allens on the cam gear to provide enough clearence for the back of the pump.
