Ok truthfully I know a little about Webers. I've set up several single 44's but never dual 44's. I just got a set of dual webers that came off a 2180. It has 36 venturies, F11 emulsions with 135 lower jet and 200 upper jet, 50 accelerator and one 50 and one 55 idle jet. Idle jets aren't a problem but do any of you Weber guru's think this will work with a 2077? Any recomendations? Thanks, Dave |

They'll never work, I'll give ya $100 for 'em just to help you out. Before you ever bolt them to a engine you need to give them the once over. Check the throttle shafts for play, if they are loose they need rebushed. Hold them up and look down each barrel toward a light, you should only be able to see the slightest bit of light around the butterflies. If you see a bunch of light open the butterflies and look at their edges, they should be square. If they are sharp they need to be replaced, Redline Weber stocks them. I have seen them that were worn so much that they were like razor blades. This is a big air leak, just like the shaft bushing. Next, look at the air bypass screw in the barrels. These are easily over tightened which will bust out the seat and, you guessed it, a BIG air leak. Any of the things that I have described will cause the engine to idle very high and keep you from adjusting it down where it needs to be. It will also throw your idle jetting off giving you stumbles that are near impossible to get rid of. Hope this helps..... |

Thats actually not a bad starting point. The 135 mains may be on the small side. The 200 air mains are probaly ok. I would replace the F11 Emulsions with F7s. They give you a better transition. |

I can't help you with all that but I will recommend that you invest in this update kit from CB. I put it in my carbs and WOW what a boost in power. Also I have had my carbs on a 1915 and 2 smaller strokers and they have worked fine on all of them. http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=508 |

Dean is absolutely correct, I have the same kit in mine, I tried to run the carbs brand new out of the box and it cannot fall out of a tree, I went through almost $400 worth of idle, air and main jets and even the F7 tubes also, I cannot get it to run right, I finally put the kit in it that I got from Roy a while back in the carbs and it made a world of difference, I was amazed on the huge difference it made, it was well worth the $$$ in my opinion for the kit. I know that some guys runs F7 tubes in their carbs, but it does not work for me, all engines are different no matter if you have 2 identical engines side by side, they will run different and require different jetting. |

Thanks, Dave Sorry about the other post, I think it will work fine on the 2077, you will also need to match you idle jets on both carbs to make sure they have all 50's idle jets and maybe change them tubes over to F7's and try them, it should work fine, I seen a 1915 with bone-stock 44IDF's runs like a bat outta hell, and he never touched the carb settings. |

I bought the CB Upgrade kit and I'm trying to install it right now. How do you get the vents out? Mine seem to be stuck, I can't get them to budge. Any suggestions? Thanks, Dale |

After taking out the set screw that holds them in, you can soak them with some PB Blaster or similar. This might help free them up. |
