What are the ID numbers? Some are better than others to go big. What is the align bore sizes? If it's getting close to the end of it's life, I'd spring for another case. |

They are also a single relief case. Oil passages are pretty small. I'd get another to build a stroker engine in if it were me. |

No offense but "H" cases are the worst possible one you can have. Get rid of it and find something different if you can. |

About the only thing an "H" case is good for is a colorful Bon fire. |

No arquin', just friendly jokin'. Like Dean said about the subies, if you gotta settle, thats the second best choice. How well did the W/C 'regular' buggies do in the competition? Hopefully there will be lots of rematches next year! Larry |

a kid i know from from cranberry just switched over from vw to suby he also loves it as do all you other suby runners i do like the vw motor but not the maintnance and oil leaks that comes with it when he converteed over he did everything for a little over a grand which will be cheaper than me trying to build another v dub motor the only thing he did not do that you guys did was cut and raise the oil pan i tried to tell him thats what you guys do and he was to hard headed to go through with it so instead he cut the skid plate out and the oil pan hangs about four inches lower oh well let him find out the hard way |

go ahead guys have at it steve i told this kid about the pan and he does not want anything to do with the oilpan fabs, he says if he does this he will lose oil capacity he is completley new to the woods buggy and i told him to go to this site because you guys are masters at this youve been doing it for years so i figure hes worried about having the right amount of oil but the way i looked at it and told him ok keep it the way it is crack your pan lose all your oil then you wont have to worry about it because youll lock the motor up id hate to see a good motor go to waste but like i said from not cutting it remember his pan hangs lower than the skid plate and has maybe a total of 5 to 10 inches of clearance maybe so how long do you think that will last ya i say the first rock he stradles or maybe even a stump |

Off topic again, so sue me..... But what DO u Suby guys do to get back your oil volume when u cut the pans down? Remote cooler n filter? Anybody dry sump one? If I had a hi dollar Suby and/or planned on gettin on the steep stuff, bet your azz I would want to. Insurance for your engine, IMO, not to mention gettin the crank out of that oil bath to help it spin and eliminate some windage. Larry |

There are two of us doing dry sumps, insurance and ground clearance. I cut my pan down a bunch, still holds 4 quarts. No oiling issues other than my 70,000 mile oil pump giving less than steller pressure when warm. The crank is no where near the oil level, about 3" or so higher, windage is not a big issue. |

My ej22 is cut down but I put the same amount of oil in,,,it just reads real high. MM,,if you have a cut pan and it holds 4 quarts,,with the dry sump do you still have an additional oil tank? |
