I've been stuck using the CB Bigmouth tubes due to my rockers. But they work great. I've seen plastic ones melt before, not due to the heat, but the oil. As rockrocket said, I have had to use them in a pinch

OK Fellas, need some advice.. Has anyone ever used the spring loaded push rod tubes? I have a huge crack in one of my push rod tubes and I do not want to pull the heads off to fix one push rod tube. My goal is to spend as little money as possible on my current engine and save my money to buy a new engine later this year or early next year. Thanks in advance.. Dan |

every one that has ever had a woods buggy has had to use spring loaded push rod tubes at one time or another they work ok not as good as permanent but ok |

I use the aluminum ones on my buggy and don't have any problems. |

Spring loaded tubes should be part of your spare parts kit that you carry with you to the woods. Sooner or later you will need one.

i agree with dvs1 the aluminum ones are the best but i try to use the ones that use a stock pr tube gasket between the tubes because its easier to find one of them than the o-ring in the o-ring style imo |

I've heard of several people running those good anodized aluminum spring loaded ones and having them seal better than one piece pr tubes. They look cool ,too.  Larry |

i have the scat blue ones, they are supposed to be high density and not break... rightt... the first set i got came with one of the chamfers cracked off and i rigged it together with a stock one, and the second set i got had a pinhole leak in it, so i went ahead and took a soldering iron and melted the hole shut.... but they probably are decent i jsut happen to buy ones with manufacturer defects! |

Same here I've got a good set and a bad set. They work great if there not defective look at them threw the package if you can. The black ones melt. |

I have used the spring loaded tubs for the past few years and going to throw them away and not look back at them. Im going to the windage tubes that are solid. The spring loaded tubes are a pain to seal up and leak. I have changed out the beveled gaskets several times and they only last a short time before they are leaking. The Wild Kids |
