Well I just pulled the head off of a friends engine, he was blowing/burning oil bad. Everything looks great inside but the end ring gap is about .080 yes I took the .025+.022+.020 and the .016 feeler gauges and stuck them in the ring gap. So I pulled a 90.5 that was on the shelf and got .018 end gap. So what caused the ring to go out so bad?? The oil breather on the generator was hooked up to the fan housing... So sand was blown into the oil I'm sure. If the ring are that bad, would you guys run it the rest of the season, rering it and run it the rest of the season, or tear it down all the way and rebuild it. Specs.. 88mm slip ins, 69mm counter weighted crank, stock heads, cam, dist. Thanks Dave T Does anyone have any 1.5mmX 1.5mm X 5mm 88mm rings laying around?? thanks

MY GRANDPA IS RUNNING 88MM ON HIS BUGGY. WE GOT A SET OF RINGS FOR IT FROM LARRY'S OFFROAD. AT THE TIME, HIS CATALOG IS THE ONLY WE FOUND THAT LISTED THE 88'S. THIS HAS BEEN ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO, SO I AM NOT SURE IF HE STILL LIST THEM. MAYBE THIS WILL HELP.
