3/4 of an inch. No, seriously, it depends on what you are trying to feed. Although I think it's kind of small, I have spoken with people with street VW's that have been able to support up to 200HP on the stock 6mm VW fuel line. If you have a fairly healthy N/A engine, 100-150HP, 1/4 inch would work. The bigger the engine, the more volume it needs. If you have a turbo, or large stroker, you may want to use 3/8 for peace of mind. I have a friend that has the theory of "you can never have too large of fuel line". He had a 2332, that made around 260HP, in his street driven drag Beetle. He used a 1/2 inch line with return style regulator, and a 3/8 inch return. This to me is way overkill, but he never ran out of fuel. |
