how does the 019 blue dist compare to a 009 dist ?

I'm not sure where I got this info?? :? So do whith it what you will... :eek: Bosch 010 has 18-22 deg @ 1700rpm. 019 has 28-32 deg @ 3500rpm take out 1 spring and you can get the 28-32 @ 2000rpm The 009 has 20-24deg @ 1800rpm. The Bosch 050 has no Retard for cylinder #3. Thanks Dave T

i run a 050 you can tell the diff it sets at 0 deg

Both distributors would work well, but I don't think the 019 has been made since the mid 60's. The 019 was the mechanical advance upgrade distributor before the 009 was made. Since the 019 hasn't been made for quite a while, the points, rotor, and cap are fairly difficult to get when they need repalced. When you do find them they are some "NOS Rare Part", and can be quite pricey. I would use the 009 for the availabilty of parts.

Yeah you might need that #3 retard if you have a single port cooler with the fan blowing through it and then on to
