I am terribly concerned about your carburetors Brad. They do not look like TRUE WEBER to me. I hope you did not pay alot for them! I hope you don't have trouble getting them to run well. Roy |

Roy[/quote] I sure hope they are. They say Weber made in Spain on them. The guy I got them from saide he bought them 4 years ago and only ran the a few times down the strip. The kit also has the short filters and I think I will need to switch out to the 6 |

I just didn't have the block off plate on when I took the pictures. Thanks for the info though because there was one time when I wouldn't have known that. Brad |

You should be fine with those. Sorry for the false alarm. The linkage is not that bad to install. What jetting did you finally decide to try first? Roy |

Your low end throttle response is going to suck with the 36mm venturis. I would have bought the 32mm venturis before I would have got the update kit. Don't get me wrong, it will probably run ok the way it is but not the best it can. Roy |

Ok I will order them. Will I be ok with the jetting that I already have or should I order the jets you suggested? You suggested 32mm venturis 55 Idle jets 130-135 Main jets 175 Air correction jets F-11 Emulsion Tubes This was his response on your jetting suggestion. Yea, that's very close for that size vents. 32's on your engine will create a LOT of vacuum signal at the car which may throw those numbers off a little. Not sure how much you know about carbs but they work on vacuum. More vacuum will mean that it can draw more fuel through relatively small jets. So, you may end up running a little rich with those jets but that's better than a little lean IMO. Also, F-11's usually like 190 or 200 air jets so it may run a little rich about 3500 or 4000 rpm. If you can, respond ASAP so I can update my order through CB. Thanks, Brad |

Roy have you had issues with the syncing of the two ports on a Weber 44? If so did you adjust them in with the air bypass. |

Every once in a while you have to adjust the bypass to get them to flow the same number on the same on the carburetor. Roy |

My Webers are like that. On cyl's 1 &2 #2 is low and on cyl's 3 & 4 #4 is low. Both are low by 1 point. When I try to adjust them out the motor does not run as well as when i just leave them alone and compensate by doing the average when Syncing the two carbs. |

One point is nothing. You are better off having all the bypass screws turned in all the way and leave it like that. Roy |
