I found a decent deal on a set 36 Dellorto's,can i jet them up to run on a 2276 with S/F's and about 10.1 or 11.1 compression.Or should i just go ahead and buy a set of 44's.

If it is a low rpm motor 36s will work. high rpm motor 44s or even 48s.IMHO

I plan on cranking some "R's" and i have another question, what do you think about taking out the dual valve springs and putting in single hi-rev springs on S/F's?

If you plan on running in the 7 to 8 Ks then keep the dual springs to prevent valve float.

Buck i swapped the dual springs for comp cams single behive springs (like Nascar springs) and titanium retainers. With an aluminum flywheel and clutch my 2643 revs like dirtbike.

Where did you get the Beehive springs that will fit the VW heads at? I have a set of S/E's

Mine are superflows. The single beehives to match the big dual springs are larger diameter. the spring pockets must be cut and they will bearly fit. Call comp cams techline. They are rude but they know their stuff.

Note: I also used titanium valves. CB performance has some that are not too expensiave. About $50 per valve. Hope this helps

Strong are the Beehives designed speciffly for the VW heads or more for a domestic engine?

Is anyone running the HPMX Empi carbs and if so do they perform well without many problems.Considering they are $200 cheaper than the Redline brand,it is a hard deal to pass up.
