Anybody here built a 90mm stoke VW engine? If so what did you have to do to do it other than clearencing the case and cam. What case you used etc. |

What case you used etc.[/quote] Getting ready to order all the parts for a 2498cc 94 x 90mm engine. CB 7.5mm raised deck alum. case. DPR 90mm crank CB 5.7 Buick journal H beam rods. FK8 camshaft, stroker notched. Need a little extra clearance on cam bearing towers, little deeper notches in cam (don't lathe turn it), bit more rod bolt |

Gary does the motor need the longer cylinders or does the 7.5mm high cylinder deck take care of it. I would assume my case is standard considering it only has a 78mm crank and would have to add cylinder shims. |

You still may have to shim accordingly to achieve the desired deck and compression. This case allows you to keeps those to a minimum. |

Just so Im clear here, are you saying you do not need longer cylinders and just shim the stock length cylinders to get the required deck height. I ask because I have heard that you need to go with longer cylinders because of the increased stroke and required length of rod to run thew longer stroke. |

I can't find the paperwork on the last one |
