Does anybody running turbos use gas ports or just total-seals or both? Building new motor so far its going to be a 1915 with boost around 20psi for speed pit 8-10 for trail. Any recommendations? |

well i ran into this about 5 min. ago and wanted to let you check it out. If you go about half way down the page you will see where they sell these already drilled. But i just run total seals and haven't ever used the gas ports. http://lowbugget.com/pistonpage.html |

Thanks how much boost have you made with total seals? I've had as much as 15# on gaped rings but now it's starting to blow by at 8#one year later. |

I've been sticking around 10 pounds. i only trail ride mine. The only problem I've had with the total seals were in a 7mgte supra engine. |

I ran a draw through setup before I got my webers it was hard to trail ride because of the lag but easy to tune. Do you have a lot of lag? |

I understand this Lag issue but if you have the correct size turbo can't you minimize it to almost nothing. I have been researching turbo's and for my 1915 any turbo in the 48AR range will be the best for the map that I want to be in. How much lag did you have and what size turbo were you running Travis? Trying to learn so I can get mine together. The Wild Kids |

The lag I had was from fuel separation on the pull though set up. The fuel is forced out of suspension going though the compressor at low rpm making it sluggish at slower speeds. Yes the right size turbo will spool fast starting at around 2,000. I have a junkyard TEO4H that spools quickly with my 1776. |

I will be going with the blow through system. Just don't know if I will keep the duals or go with a single carb yet. I wish I had some junk yards close by to go walk through for parts. For about $1300 I can but the parts from someone and just install it. The Wild Kids |

well i've got a 1915 with a draw through and i went with a 600 holley because of expence. got it new for $50. I will say some times a hate it but i was running Dual icts blow through and couldn't get the fuel mixture right above 5 lbs. I don't have a ton of lag but it's not a bottom end motor. i turn mine out to 6500 rpm. I hope to ride it a lot this summer. I had it out 2 times last summer. So i'm still tinkering i'm running a t/3 .48 ar turbine with a to4b .60 ar compressor with a 60 trim wheel. The compressor is so big for the motor that it just crams it in i guess. I would like to upgrade when i get the cash. I would like to try the propane some day just to say i did it. |
