My motor won't fire. I changed the dist. coil, and ignition. No change.I wired it straight from bat. to coil. Nothing. It does back fire a little. sounds like it's out of time but it should be ok. I have it set at 10 before TDC. Any ideas. Thanks Dean |

Well. First off I have NEVER claimed to be and engine builder. The cam may not be the problem. I am stumped. I will be making the 4 hr drive south in the morning to Shadetree Performance. Were I am sure he will take one look at my unassembled motor and tell me what I did wrong. But when I leave it will run. |

dont feel too bad dean, just think about my motor. Two half ass rides and the cranks toast. Gotta love VW's, or well in my case operator error. |

Never kick a man when he's down. Did they leave a radius when the clearenced the cam. If not that's what will happen. That sucks |

what do you mean by radius? are you refering to how the cam was clearenced? |

When machine cutting you need to leave a radius at the root of the cut otherwise it will crack there from the stress. |
