It seems my new Throw Out Bearing won't fit on my Bearing Rod.
My research tells me it won't. My question is it looks pretty easy to modify it.
Does any one know if common practice to do it or should I just buy a new one.
I can certainly do the modification is its been done before. Image

You have a mis-match of parts. The throw out bearing you show is designed to run without the guide sleeve installed in your bellhousing. You can switch to the later throwout shaft designed for the later bearing that runs on this sleeve. This design is way better.
