Sounds like a broken or bent
crankshaft. Take the pulley off
of the engine and run it for a
minute to look at the crankshaft
end. Don't overheat the engine.
You may be able to see the
crankshaft wobbling. Post the video
on youtube and link it here.

I had a 1915 that did that, someone installed the mains that were the wrong size, the ID of the mains were to large. I pulled the motor apart measured an installed new mains and all was good.

Its out of the buggy...but i grabbed aluminum pulley and nut on flywheel and i held the pulley tight and the flywheel side i got movement. Actually there is slop in dowel holes. And also they're marks on nut, washer, and flywheel are not lined up. That crank is broke. I will not be attending final hill climb at pump jack....im sick. Please NOONE buy from GEX. This motor is second lemon ive recieved from them. Ill talk with them again tomorrow (GEX) but they are already grabbing on warrenty.

Sorry to hear that. I got burnt on my first motor. I hate that we aren't going to meet. Oh well, there will be another time.

I did talk with alex from GEX and he said after watching videos he will take care of it, all cost, shipping and repairs with labor. Thats the good news...turn around could be a month. I hope to be hanging out with you guys next year.
