I am looking to buy a 2332 long block, and have seen several manufacturers. Can i get some opinions, and maybe some personal experiences on different places?

On a second note, if anyone on here would be interested in building one for me, I would be interested in price quotes to do so as well.

Thanks alot guys

You should make a few decisions before you buy any engine:

1) What is max RPM going to be?
2) What fuel?
3) Turbo, Supercharger or neither.
4) Fuel injection or carb(s).
5) Street or strip.
6) Shuffle pins (6) or just 2?
7) Center thrust or std. thrust? Type 4 or type 1 bearings.
8 ) Flanged crank and cross-drilled?
9) Wiseco pistons? What clearances? Teflon buttons?
10) Balanced and blueprinted ...or just balanced?
11) Cam, head, injector or carb specs?
12) Dry or wet oil sump? Full flow with AN fittings?
13) Full race case 3 piece? aluminum or alloy? Silk thread sealed?
14) H-beam rods, shot-peened and NDT-inspected?
15) Crank sensor mount? End play sensor?
16) If high compression, will rockers and/ or cam be
high lift and pistons clearanced?
17) What guarantees?
18) Who must install long block?
19) Is a windage plate and stainless windage tubes used?
20) How much is shipping? Who pays return shipping?

What kind of budget do you have to spend? If you only need a long block, what engine and parts do you have now?

Auto linea full flow aluminum case
DPR crank
Mahle pistons and cylinders
CB performance h-beam rods
Cam that suits your riding style
Schadeks oil pump

None of that is offered together in a kit but thats what would be in my motor if i started from scratch 8)
Its more expensive to do it that way but you end up with a relaible, durable motor... as for a builder, be picky... guy here in bama builds em so good that even them ky boys cant catch em
