1968 vw 1834, .009 distributer with points, Bosch coil, either won't start or runs for about a minute then shuts down.
I have 12volts to the coil
Ohm value across coil with wire disconnected is 4 ohms
9600 ohms from center of coil to either terminal.
I am getting fuel to carb

When I check for spark from the coil (connected at coil, other end near steel I get little to no spark.
Even though my coil ohms ok could it still be bad?
Thanks

Have you checked your condenser?

got it running, gas was running low perhaps I picked up debris in the bottom of the tank, remove jets cleaned carb all is well.
I'm worried it could be a coincidence, why didn't I have much spark from the distributor?

Hmmm. Maybe it just seemed like it had little spark:?::?:
