I got mine from Jegs just because the convenience factor. I have a msd 6AL box, blaster coil and msd distributor and wires I like it especially for the rev limiter I've been known to get a heavy foot, took care of that

jesse i have ran msd for years and i think they have a great product, but i had a 6al go bad on me twice due to moister. The first time i sent it back they repaired it and sent back,no questions. The second time they asked me what i was doing with it and i told him what we do. He explained to me the 6al was not ment for such harsh conditions and i needed their off road version. I explained that i had to sell my 6al first . MSD said no problem we will give you what you paid for it and just pay the extra for the new box. They are great people to work with, and ive been running two offr road boxes for years without problem.

This is the distributor I have. And I bought my 6al at swap meet I believe for 55 $ than bought new coil and wires through summit have around 250ish with everything.

Just my opinion, but this is what I'm running.

Made by MSD, weatherproof and seems to be holding up great. Uses same bosch blue coil, easy to wire, and gives you a rev limiter that is adjustable by turning one of two knobs. And its cheaper.

I bought my entire MSD setup from Summit and bought all of the "Off Road" versions. I have been told they are epoxy filled and do better with vibrations and bumps.

I had the MSD off road and it worked great. One day my buggy just wouldn't start. Ended up the original owner didn't ground it to the battery and that fried something. I called msd and they had me test it with a volt meter and said it was shot. They can't rebuild them because they are epoxy filled. I just got another one from ebay for $45 so hopefully it works and it will be grounded to the battery. Couldn't pass up $45.
