Does anybody know where you can buy a air box for a single carb that keeps mud water etc. from getting in your filter? Kinda looks like a snorkel. I've looked around on ebay and can't find them. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Called southern they said they have no clue what I'm talking about and referred me to drews off road so I guess I'll give them a call tomorrow when they open back up.

Yes. Your set up was the one I seen with your dual carbs and after I had a weekend of getting soaked with rain and mud I decided it would be a smart investment.

Drews said they only make them for dual carburetors systems. I'm going to go up there Saturday and actually talk to them in person and see if they can help me out.

6 rows down on the left, part #17-2526-0 , and if you have that shitty linkage that comes with a weber carb, you should look into the cb performance cable setup , i have it and it is awesome as well, but you have to fab up a bar to hook it to with the breather box. i can give you links and show you a pic of what im talkin about.

ok hear is what im talkin about...http://www.cbperformance.com/SearchResu ... =60&page=1 the 3122 linkage kit is what i bought and used with a garbage can cover, but with the breather box the breather base plate gets tossed out so you have to make a braket for the cable to hook yo, not that big of a deal. ill get some pics for you tomorrow

Thank you diamonddave you helped out a lot I am definitely getting a new linkage. My throttle response is rather terrible because of slack in the line and, Saturday I'm going to go up to drews and see what they have and if they don't have what I'm looking for I will order of the website. Thanks everybody for the very thorough details I'm new to buggys and vw engines so I'm trying to soak up as much as possible. Joe
