The w series cams are not designed for 1.4 rockers. Not only will it wear your valve guides and stems out it will beat your seats to death with the pressure it needs to keep lift and closing on the quick fall off the ramp of the cam. Not knowing what heads you have I'd say put 1.25 rockers on it and use a good set of springs and be done and get longer life and not abuse it just to run 1.4's IMO. Chad
Chad , I have to say there is a way to run 1.4 rockers with 110 , I have ran that combination for 7 years on 2 sets of heads , comp eliminaters & the ones I'm running now on my new motor are gene berg heads , I use vw 650 valves spring on the berg heads & k- motion 800 on the comp heads & the k- motion springs had almost 250# seat pressure , the key thing is to run pauter roller rockers & racing valve guides cut to allow for the lift ( some will not require cutting ) I didn't do it on my comp eliminaters ( valve springs are "200" longer on the comp heads ) , the new motor I have now is a 2574 cc ( 88 x 96.5 ) and I run a 110 with 1.5 roller rockers ( 645" lift ) and I drove it for
about 12 or 14 rides so far , but you know I'm very easy on my motors & hardly break idle speed , but so far its holding up with the 1.5's!
