It was the nut for the all thread for the breathers sat it on the roof and must have vibrated off into the carb

Check the cylinder good. They usually crack when that happens.

pistons are everywhere. but make sure you don't have a tight ring if you re use it! also! above all! I had water go down my Dodge truck 318 and it bent a rod and lowered the compression tremendously. make sure the piston comes all the way up and even.!

had the same thing happen to one of my new race motors first race of the year a few years back. we were able to get it out through one of the intake runners between heat races so I could finish. It did end up bending a valve stem... not too bad for what it could have been :roll:
