Breaking valve adjusters and bending the hell out of pushrods.
Anyone else ever have any problems with this?

It does it about ever 6 months or so. At one point in time it done it about ever other ride and then just stopped. And took it 6 months before breaking again.
And it's normally on the driver side this is the first time on the passenger side.
The motor has been built for about 2 years or so. It's a 2500 with a 120 cam and cb 44 heads. I may need to redo the rockers or something on it.

What rockers and how old are the valve springs? It either floating the valves or coil binding the springs. Do you know the total lift?

If your adjusters are on the push rod make sure your push rods aren't to short. When the adjusters are screwed in to far the oil for the rockers can escape and could cause them to seize. The adjusters will also brake if they are in to far.

You may just need to take the shims out from under your rockers if this is the problem.

Just something to look at I had a similar problem on my 2054 had the heads reworked with new valves springs and guides. And was bending push rods ended up being that the guides stuck out of the head a little to far and the valve keepers were bottom out on the guides at a high rpm had the tops of the guides machined off and no more problems
