 Post subject: a drivers opinon?

Ok I have a mild 1835 wit a single carb in my buggy and it is time for a rebuild on it so I am thinking it is time to go up. I am thinking around 2010 or 2165 with dual carbs. What would be the cost and the drive factor on a motor in that range. Any info and advice would help. I like trail riding but like to play on hills too.

Pcs are all pretty much the same cost go big 2276 good strong motor i wish i would have did that. But i got the pcs for free so i got a 2027 good motor just could use alil more power

How would a dual carb 2027 compare to a mild 1835. Part of my reasoning is I have 92 jugs already.

Id go as big as you can . And I would also put a single carb on it. There are 3 2276s are 2 2110s and a 2027 all with single and they all run great

Thanks guys. How much diffrence would I feel in each motor. And I have a 3 and 6 rib. What would be a better gear for the 31 tls boggers. Wnat are my opctions as far as what I can build with the least machine work.

2234. Dual carbs and a free flowing exhaust. Single carbs are for those who want limited maintenance and are willing to give up hp. Basically you want that engine to breath in and out with limited restrictions.

As far as your question for each motor. It depends on what you do with each motor. A 2180 with decent heads, a cam with a lift designed to your riding style and free flowing carbs and exhaust will kick the shit out of a chocked out 2332.

Thank you all for the info? How big can I go with stroke before I have to do machine work? With that motor with duals will there be a big diff in power from my 1835. I have the dual carbs but everything else I have to reuse( case heads pistons?).I am going to do a re build because it is smoking bad and it has been a few years but I want to do it while getting the best I can for the buck? Any thing helps. What do I need to do with what I have for the least money????

Go water cooled best bang for your buck, you have to machine the case for anything over stock unless slip in 88 are still available but I would strongly recommend against them they are prone to cracking at the skirt

He already has a case for 92. (1835)
I believe he is askin ab clearance or the crank. Just get a 82 crank and all you need is a grinder really. Got to grind the cam or get a pre clearance cam. And grind on the rods a little if they are stock. I haven't look but somebody should post how to clearance a case video like the groovin tires vid

I have to agree with both red boron and nri. Go water cooled, always a great choice! Heck, I even went water cooled. But on the serious side, nri makes a good point. Go with the 82mm crank. Quite a bit less clearancing on the case vs the 84. I have built all of the engines that our group runs and the last 5 were 2332's. On my old buggy I am still running a 2276 that has some big heads, dual 44's, and a decent exhaust. None of the others can touch me. Displacement isn't everything.

Hey I am older and my memory is not what it once was, so my apologies on the case machining. I would go 2276 ran one for 14 years bullet proof.

What heads do you have? I had a 1915 that was pretty good and down the road i just put bigger heads on it and I could tell a huge difference. That's where your power is. I'm looking for set now

As far as engine goes . Lpb on here built a 2110 for his daughters buggy. stock heads with a c25 cam a a single 44 webber and I'm here to tell ya I drove it and a couple other guys and it rips.
