Hey Roy, WvDave I picked up a rebuild kit. when I started taking apart the carb I took top part off, float cover, and butterfly. There is alot of sh.. down ind it. Also the gasket betwwen top and body was pretty messed up.Looked like it was not sealed correctly. Once I clean it up and and rebuild I will let you know how it went. Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate it. Jason

Hey Roy, If this carb does not pan out for me, what should I go with. I have a stock 1600 dp with stock manifold. Thanks Jason

The cheapest way would be to try to find a good working solex. The next cheapest way would be a Weber Progressive 2bbl. and intake. You can get these kits used for 100-150 all day long.

Let us know how it comes along...

I thought the weber solved our problem but it didn't. Now the buggy is fouling plugs. I'm sure we need to re-jet the carb but wonder if it would help to try a hotter plug first?

Try disconnecting the second barrel linkage and run it on the single primary barrel for a while. See how it does like that before you try to re-jet.
If it still is fouling plugs, you need to pull out the idle jet on the primary side and see what is in it. You will most likely need to drop it down to a 50 for it to work better if it is still fouling plugs.

Hey Roy, I rebuilt carb and boy what a difference. The main jet was completely clogged. Cleaned it all up and runs good. Just have to fine tune it. Thanks for all the help, I am sure I will talk to you again. Im ready to go riding now, just need to find a trailer. Jason
