Have a few questions about my build. Here is what I have so far.....

Scat builders choice engine kit
C35 scat cam
CB 044 heads 40x35.5
Standard weight 8 dow flywheel
Block is drilled for full flow
1.5 quart deep sump

My questions are....
1 What dist. should I go with?
2 Will I need to run custom length push rods?
3 Weber 44s or 40s?

Thanks in advance for the help. Everything I have done to my buggy so far the info came from here.

I had to make custom length push rods but I have 1.25 ratio rockers in mine. And I have dual 44 webers on mine - runs great. Plus if you build the motor bigger later down the road you can still use them.

I'm running bout the same setup. I also went with a scat kit. Works great. I'm using a petronix distributor which also works great.

Petronix I would agree with also, it is what's on my 1915 and I run weber 40 idf duals and no issues. I had custom length push rods made to fit.

Cool. Thanks for the feed back. I have never set up my valve train but I would like to run the 1.25 rockers. It will be a learning experience. Ill go with the electronic ignition and 44s. I hope to get the parts ordered after Labor Day. Going to run the tired 1600 one more trip this year. Thanks again for the great feed back :)
