Obviously rings, but b4 you tear it down use the snap off end of the comp. tester and rig it up to your air compressor at about a 100 psi with the cylinder at tdc and listen down the oil cap and then the header and then the carb for hissing escaping air and you will know if you have other compression leaks. Be careful! if it is not at tdc the motor will twist with violent force and a wrench on the pulley will smash your hand! Later with the tin off put some soapy water where the heads meet the cylinders. Do the same after the rebuild. If you re-use copper head gaskets, heat them up a little on the stove to re swell them.

I did that dave and it have a steady breez blowing out the pushrod tubes and out the oil filler spot but not the exaust or carbs so its in the cylinders
