Im replacing the cam in my 1641 with a ENG 110. The new cam doesn't come with a gear. Do I just buy the 3 bolts and drill the rivits on my old cam to get the gear off or do I need to buy a gear to?

Go ahead and put straight cut gears in it.

Do I need to set those up any different then the regular gears? I noticed the kit said adjustable cam gear. No idea what that means.

You can get them with washers to advance or retard the timing. I'd set them with the standard washer in the kit for your motor. Kits should come with 3 sets. And the gears are marked and set up the same way.

But someone else might know a little more ab the washers. It might be better for you to advance it a lil bit

Different colors. Black gold and silver I think. It should come with a paper that tells you what's what. Should come with lock washers and use locktite
