so i was runnin like crap did a tune up plugs wires filters ect... then a compression check cylinder #1=130psi #2=120psi #3=60psi #4=65 psi so i retourqed the head on driver side then my valves were out of adjustment i couldnt get my adjusters loose enough ran out so checked the compression again with valves out of wack got #3=155psi #4=180 how is this possible idk so then tore hole top of motor down put new rings in and put it back togeather decided to just put a spacer behind my rockers to get valves in adjustment then tested compression and got #1=110#2=100#=90#4=70 so just lookin for answer have not ran motor with new rings maybe they need to seat in idk open to suggestions o also checked my barrel shims and head shims both spec out good so idk

ok to adjust tdc #1 adjust then 180 counter clock wise #2 then 180 counter clockwise #3 then 180 counter clockwise#4 correct ?

Do a vacuum check and it will give you a good idea what is going on. Make a vacuum port if you don't have one and Google vacuum check. Just maaaybe sticky valve guides. I swear by Marvel Mystery oil. I squirted some in a bad cylinder and turned it over a few times. It had 50 psi and overnite it dissolved the rust and crud around the rings and it popped up to 158. Runs like a scalded dog. With wo' out valve guides a valve will fall in the center of the seat for several rotations then fall crooked a time or 2 and loose comp. Bad rocker arm geometry will wear out valve guides early.

Firing order is 1-4-3-2 & you need to run it to set the rings . Good luck . & where are you from.

so put new rings in and shims behind rockers got valves into adjustment warmed up motor and ran for about 25 mins then let cool overnight next morning re adjusted valves and ran motor then did a compression check #1=130ps#2=130psi#3=133psi#4=125psi so im pretty happy with that and sounds good thanks everyone for the
help
