I have a solex pict 34 it runs great but wont idle very long or sometimes at all. Ive checked for air leaks but cant find none. So what else could it be? Can i get a rebuild kit from autozone or some where and rebuild it. Or can anyone around jemison and calera do it for me ill be glad to pay someone and it be done right. Im not the best with carbs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

pull your idle jet out (the thing under the electric choke) clean it real good and clean the hole it came out of. stick it back in and adjust your idle speed and mixture screws on the drivers side of the carb above the solenoid. large screw=idle speed small screw=idle mixture the screw on the throttle arm is not your idle speed thats for choke idle it should be set so its not touching on the last choke notch.

I was told before to pull out the solenoid and cut the end off and put it back in. Anti dieseling something or nother. I just bought a new carb but it might work. Anybody know?? DD??

yes you can cut them off. yes it is for run on. it cuts fuel to keep it from dieseling when key is off. its a nice feature i kept mine. if it clicks when you put power to it its good.
