Post subject:  Brass shavings?

Pulled my valve covers to adjust my valves after break in. Found a very small amount of brass colored shavings. Drained the oil through a screen and found alot less so it seems to be concentrated in the valve covers. The oil itself was kinda brown. All very small shavings. It has me slightly scared but maybe I'm being a big baby. Any ideas? Stock rockers and set screws that I'm sure I'm over stressing with dual valve springs and large cam.

i had the same thing happen to me on a new motor and was like WTF  .. i jus figured everything had to wear in, so i changed the oil and kept a check on the pressure and never looked back 8)

Sounds like valve guide material.
Is the rocker arm geometry good?

Before you spend the time checking the geometry put swivel feet in the rockers. If you run it as is its gonna beat the valve tips up. Geometry should ALWAYS be checked.
