how big a deal is this? this would be death to a w/c motor but how bad is this for a vw? the crack just runs between the valve seats. it doesnt go very deep and is only hairline wide. can i run these for a little while? really just need to get one weekend out of them.

If it dont go deep and its a small crack more and likely it will be fine . i have seen heads last a long time like that.

just one head but both cylinders. one is worse than the other. the seats seem tight and by the looks of it this thing has had seats put in. nothing bellow the seats or nothing to the spark plug hole.

thank you thank you thank you. i guess i can stop drinking heavy and go to sleep now  looks like the seats have been peened into place half way around the seats. thats the only thing im concerned about anyways is the seats dropping out and chewing up my new motor
