Buggy has set a while! Went out and moved it out of the garage and it started pumpin oil out of the exhaust like a Texas OIl Well!

Valve seals wouldnt pump that much would it?

Buggy has a miss of course but fires and idles fine

Nope she was just right! I believe where It had a miss i may have folded the rings and shes pumpin oil now

Mine was pumping oil like that. It turned out to have worn valve guides. One guide was floating free in the head.

Sounds like maybe there is rust in your cylinder and you broke a ring when you started it.

whyb does jap and chevy rings last 400K miles and chineese rings last 80?

well its a vw they are not running their best till its leaking oil and with that much leaking i would say its got to be running damn good :mrgreen:
