ok guys need some input. new motor build.. fresh crank rods line bore ect... its a 1641 when I installed the new jugs they fit nice into the cases.. but when I put the head on it doesn't fit flush with head. there is about a nickel gap where the head doesn't meet the fins of the jug... same on the other side. tho I dry fitted the jugs to the heads and they where a solid fit into the head but still the head stopper didn't hit the fins.. all stock 1600 heads. anyone ever run into this?? I can send pics thro text messages cant post right at the moment.

I just built a 1641 for a friend and use AA pistons and jugs and had the same thing. Motor runs great though.

ok thanks guys I was worried when they looked liked something wasn't right... I did a cylinder leak down test and nothing blew out around the heads.. and smoked them too.. and all I herd was the air blowing past the ring into the bottom end / motor.. all the jugs/cylinders are new and not seated in so I herd air going past the ring.. not on the head side . should I still be worried?? but another buddy said to put in the push rods in and see if they have stupid adjustment. or I would run out of adjustment.. just re tossing that input out there.. I think I should be fine I hope... u guys help me a lot... and I am thankful for all the help..
