I remember seeing at one time one this site how to modify your exhaust so you run heat tubes for your manifold, does anyone know of this post?

If your running a IDF the aluminum low profile manifold with the slide in heat riser tubes works best. Having your carb jetted right helps too. The single IDF works fine in warm weather without heat risers but cold weather not so good because of fuel separation. I ran a single 40 on the New Years ride with no heat risers on ethanol the manifold had ice on it heat risers would have been a big help.

I have a weber progressive and I tapped the manifold where the tubes go in, with a 3/8 pipe tap, installed barb fitting and ran oil threw it before it went to the remote oil cooler, works very well. You need full flow oiling to do this.

Mine works great for heating the intake but my progressive is still junk and runs real bad down low .. Duals are my next step.
