I think I am stuck with at least 11:1 due to my heads being 44cc well at least with out a butt load of shims. What is the best cam with a 2387 and 11:1 my 40x35 heads(knowing that I am prob. going bigger when funds allow) and dell 45

My new build the heads are only 35cc, end up with a .180 barrel shim and 40 copper head gasket to get to 11.5-1 and was shootin for 10.5-1 with fk 8 But think ima just go with 11.5

The last engine I built was 2276 with a W120 cam a single 44 IDF at 12:1 on ethanol it made 180 ft tq @ 2500rpm and 155ft tq @ 4000rpm. Keeping the heads on is the hard part but makes for a low buck woods torque monster

What was the compression on a stock 1600??? I'm building a 2332 and was thinking of staying around 9.5 or so

I just got my case back from the machine shop and they oversized the case spigots .010!!! Is it ok? Or do I take it back to them?

I don't mean to ask a dumb question but with all the different CR's being talked about what is the final cranking psi. that a VW engine can be happy with? The Harley engine builders have agreed on 180-190 psi as the upper limit for 92 octane pump gas but they have anti-knock sensors and electric compression releases available for help. I just thought maybe because they are both air cooled with aluminum heads there might be similarites with detonation.

Most Stock 1600 was 7.3 :1 .
