Alt. stand has clearance in this area in blue for where the alt. increases in diameter.
Gen will fit on an alt. stand but an alt. will not fit on a gen. stand.
That cradle area continues out toward the rear of the engine more on gen. stands.

Yes, the gen stand has a lip on the front side as the alt stand doesn't. |
