Welding magnesium/ aluminum alloy case will weaken it even further. If it is that bad best to invest in a new all aluminum super case. It is expensive but so are all the other parts in an engine build. Just my opinion though. |

if you don't have the money to invest, as long as the studs aren't coming out of case, and the gasket will seal around the screen then it will work. I wouldn't invest in any machining like building a stroker or anything. but if it's ready now then build it. it will last a long time as long as you can seal it like I said. |

You can make a bolt in flat piece to seal it up put studs on one side and bolts for the other so you can still split the block and fixes it good. Chad |

It don't look that bad, I have seen alot worse seal up, as long as the studs are solid then your fine. ( but just my opinion) |

Trash. had a case like that and I'm sure the lifter bores look just like that. It is rotten and do not invest in it.The hidden corrossion in the oil passages will disslove and clog your oil journals. |

That ain't that bad. Get the case looked at by someone who knows what to look for. If it checks out,use it. |

X2 I had a case that had the same thing going on and ruined everything I had, wasnt oiling correctly. Junk throw it away. |
