I don't want to spend no more than $1000. My new Kaddies , that I haven't even got to install, are set up for a 1679cc.I do kind of want to keep it fairly stock. I would really like to stay old school but the price of the "Dark Side" is tempting.

If you are not trying to save that one for a rebuild then I say run it. I had a 13 yr old 1835 with noisey bottom end. Mass end play running like a bitch never let me down. I changed oil set up and had pulley off so replaced sand seal. Well all of sudden its leaking. I pay close attn to pulley its moving in and out like crazy. I freaked and started having one built. Tore old down reused my good crank and few things. If I would have not changed that sand seal (was wrong size) I would have never noticed. Would prolly still be rolling in it. So if in that position again ill run the piss out of it. While not having to go all out quick for another motor. Just saying, when Aaron got it apart all kinda shit not right, over 13 yr old whole lot of drunk beatings. Fired right up every time.

Hey I don't mind ridding with you the oil mist helps keep the dust down, and if I can't see you I can follow the smell of burning oil. You can always turn it in to a compressor to fill tires when you build the new engine.
