it keeps on hesitating once you go and press the throttle down. it idles fine and timing is set fine. for example of what it is doing, it is sitting idling, and you push down the throttle to rev it up and it just like goes silent, then a second or 2 later it does it. its just like a weird hesitation. any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!

I'm not sure what size motor u have but I had a 2276 with a 44 and had the same problem. I called cb and they said put a zero pump jet and drill the butterfly's in the carb. I done all of that and had the same issue. I called them back and they said the only thing left to do is drill the squirters out a little at a time till it was gone . It alot of time but it worked. Not sure but maybe this will help. It only took 3 yrs of messing with it to make it work good

It sounds like your accelerator pump needs to be adjusted. I had the same problem when i was dialing in my idle. Actually went away when i had the idle a little too high. but works fine after adjusting the accelerator pump. Hope that helps!

x2..the diaphram in the pump can get dry cracks in it over time, may need to replace it

If you look right in the middle towards the bottom of the carb you will see a square that should say weber on it. Behind this is the actual diaphragm. Below that you will see a spring going perpendicular to the carb. This is what needs to be adjusted. (most likely tightened). Good news is this is really easy to fix and you dont need to take everything apart! If you take the air filter off and push the actuator on that spring you should be able to see gas squirt, just look down the venturis. If adjusting doesn't fix it, id take a look at the actual diaphragm.
