I have Dual 44's on my 1915, and I have some intermittent backfiring thorugh the carb. Will changing the idle jet sizes help any? Air Correction are 2.00 Mains are 1.55 Idles Jets are .60 Is this a good setup or should I go with smaller or larger idle jets? Thanks |

my 1915 with 44's has 55 idle 150 main 200 air it runs fine except for a slight hesitation in the progression from the idle to the main, i plan on trying a 140 main whenever i get around to it |

Your idle jet size is fine, maybe a little big. Coughing through the carb is usually caused by them being out of sink just a little bit. Try adjusting the idle screwsall the way out till they arent touching the adjuster anymore. Then adjust them in till they touch but dont move. Start adjusting the idle screws in quarter turns until idle speed is good. If it still coughs try adjusting the air mixture screws. Run them all the way in and the adjust them out until the cylinder starts back firing. |
