what is the best fuel for the bang.... ok i was thinking about switching fuel over to cam 2 on my motor.. i know that cam 2 burn cooler and is cleaner.. so the cooler part is good rite? but i have been running premo suco 93 runs great.. dailed in at the 93 its a stock 1641 with a porgerssive carb and lightened flywheel. runs super great on that fuel... but in the back of my mind wouldnt it be better to run a cooler buring fuel, than the average pump gas even tho tho the horse power is that of a greater built motor... just kinda of wondering. i ran the cam 2 in my old stock 250r 2 stroke 4 wheeler i know apples to grapes... just some lil impot! stock valve train also |

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the correct fuel to run all depends on your compression ratio. |

if your runing a 1641 just go with normal gas or 93 if you like run whatever the gas station has and the wallet wil allow no reason for special gas or anything |

its all about compression ratio.the higher the octane the slower the fuel burns.if your valves are not pinging you dont need it .at $7.60 a gallon i would run reg gas. |

Higher octane does not gaurantee more power. If your engine does'nt need higer octane fuel your just throwing away money. Also lower octane fuels start easier. Octane rating relates to how much energy it takes to ignite the gas, but NOT directly to how much energy the gas puts out. There is no reason to use and pay for expensive high octane gas. Unless your car was designed for such gas: •High octane gas does NOT improve gas mileage •High octane gas does NOT improve power output Exceptions: If your car is explicitly designed for high octane gas, use it. If your car has engine knocking problems using high octane gas may reduce the knocking. |

If it isnt broke.. dont fix it.... If it is running well, I would say.. leave it alone.. |
