i have a ???? how much oil press should i have at idle i have like 6 lbs at idle and like 40 lbs when climig a hill is this to littel it is a stock 1600 duel port with remout oil cooler and filter |

Hmm...Im not 100% sure...6 seems a little low? but then again who says the gauge is totally accurate? Think at a HOT idle, i have maybe 10-15? Really id have to go warm it up and check to be sure though. |

I am using pensoil 10 w 40 and that is when it is worming up ... changed the filter today and now i am runing about 10 lbs after it is worm was told to run 20w 50 in it with lucas oil aditiv a bout hafe a botel of it ... what do u think |

If you got a stock oil cooler and the motor has been hot a few times they have rubber seals that will close up when over heated .Then the oil starts running warmer than it should .Anyway iv been told that ... |

5psi at idle is fine. its not the best but as long as it climbs with the rpms its good. 40psi when climbing is good. |

Rule of thumb is 10PSI for every 1000 RPM. |
