OK, I just had dub. nut the sump studs to pull them out... I had to keep the pickup tube stud in so I didnt lose the bolt but it did turn down enough for me to use when I am ready... I removed the rest and will install with blue locktight sor the scat sump plate I bought (thicker)... The oil screen is broken I think... you tell me... Or does that part pop out? Looks almost new. And what do you think on the chip? JB weld or cover it and forget it? thanks guys ![]() ![]()

First layer went on today, had a hard time keeping the JB Weld in the divet, I ended up folding some aluminum foil till it was about 6 layers... then I forced it onto the case edge till it was as tight as I could get it.. I pushed the JB Weld back into the divet and then put the foil on top... then put something on it and backed it up against a bag to hold it in place... I hope it works out OK... Once dry I will add another layer to complete the job (pics will follow at this stage... I will then do some final sanding to grinding or filing to get it where I need it. Pics at that stage too. At least it’s not through the case it’s just a matter of reforming the edge... Next case I buy will be apart and open with nothing attached so I can inspect better... |

These are pics of where I am right now... 3 coats and might be final... other than cosmetic I don’t know that it needs to be much better (thoughts?)... Also note: it’s still wet in these pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I could round it up a bit more... and smooth it over... but it may be fine as is. |

as long as the surface is flat enough to seal off and not leak it looks fine to me |

Do you think I should use a sealant when I put it back together as well? I think its ready, I rounded off the one last little divet and all I need to do not is clean it up... |

Just put the plate and screen back on... I have it snugged up pretty good by hand... is the torque still the same 5-9 LB's for the scat cnc plate? My torque wrench only goes to 10... dont want to over do it... I think I will snug them up tight and see what happens.. I have one that is questiable anyway... I need longer studs for the other 5... |

Found the studs at Ace Hardware... hardend m6 1.0 about 1.5 inches... little blue lock tight and they are in nice and tight... this one is a done deal... my rocker parts came in today so I will get hat going this weekend I think... Hope that goes well (still waiting on the shims). |

Yes thin coat of Black rtv on all surfaces. Then you will be almost guaranteed to not have leaks... |
