I finally got a few minutes to look at the buggy today. Everything looked fine except cylinders 1 and 2 are not firing.

I have not even began to troubleshoot it but I thought it would be fun to let everyone take a guess at the problem.

Buggy fired right up.. Was running rough, so I went back and checked the headers. Cylinders 1 and 2 were cold. Cylinders 3 and 4 were hot.

Lets here your guesses...

first thing to check would be wether or not your gettin spark. if so then check fuel, then suspect valve train issues. atleast thats my order of elimination.

Marty wins troubleshooting bragging rights... That makes two Bragging Rights Contests for Marty..

Although, I could have saved a lot of time if I would trouble shoot in a different order..
Pulled the Valve covers and checked the rockers and rods.... Everything looks good
Pulled the plugs and checked for spark... Everything looks good
Checked the cylinders for compression ... Everything looks good
Cleaned the jets in the carb... Everything look good

Hmmmmm... I have spark, fuel and compression.... Hmmmm

Grabbed a can of starter fluid, started the buggy and sprayed the intake manifold.. Found the problem..

I have a crack in the rubber boot on the intake manifold.. Fortunately, it is something easy to fix..

I remembered seeing Kevin and Bebo find that same problem on a buggy at Lock 17 a couple years back.
