what would make a motor blow oil smoke out of the blow by next to the oil filler cap ? the motor runs the same and has the same power |

im still learning about vw engines so this may be a stupid question but do you have a crankcase breather? internal pressure has got to go somewhere. |

Ck compression it probably has a low cylinder or oil ring bad , also common thing if it has c clips on your wrist pins one may have popped and scored your cylinder . Just a couple of suggestions , good luck Jason |

do you have a crank case breather? if so is it getting a lot of oil in it? mine did and it was the rings. i did not notice alot of power loss at first but did over time. ended up replacing the jugs, pistons, rings and bearings and now its good to go. dont wait as long as i did because i ended up with a quarter inch ring gap. not good. |

il prolly rebuild it somtime this winter, might even put some bigger jugs and pistons in it |
