motor started making noise so we looked into it and found out the push rod was messed up any clue what could cause this befor: ![]() after:

yeah two thing come to mind to much vavle seat pressure or poor oiling and maybe worn rocker arms |

and it had plenty of oil in the valve cover when we took it off and had plenty in the push rod itself and the tube |

i have no clue its my friends motor they may have been to tight so we gonna put another one in and set them right and see what happens |

How big is the hole in the rocker or lifter! That looks like precise lathe work. |

I had some EMPI lifters go bad after only a few hours of riding. Did not shape the rod the same way but it wore down the rod so far that the rod fell out and binded. |

which end did that, the lifter end or the rocker arm end and what brand rockers, lifters, and pushrods ? also what type rocker arms, stock style (aduster on the valve end), or aftermarket (adjuster on the pushrod end) ? |

Looks like those pushrods are made out of peanut butter! You better make sure the cam isn't going or already gone flat also. |

i have no clue about whats in his motor i know its not stock parts and its a 2065 i think i will have to get more info from him if the problem continues |

I heard about a certain company having all kinds of problems with the push rods doing that. They had a bad batch of ends from the heat treater or something. it was either bugpack or empi or even CB i think. The ends all come from the same place i bet. |
